Chapter 1: The Rise and Fall of Motivation 2.0

I believe it is easy to relate to Motivation 2.0 because as Kimberly and Norm mentioned it is fun to do stuff that you love to do.  I can see completely what Barb means when here kids slack off on chores so they can play, I have a twin brother and we mastered slacking off.  Our ability to slack off carried over to school where we would do the bare minimum to get a good grade and be able to work on our own on other homework or to have free time and do what we wanted.  I liked a lot on page 25 where it talked about our cognitive calculator.  We as humans are wired to believe that if you get free money I should get the same amount and if I don’t I am ok with getting nothing so you also get nothing.  I think kids in the class somewhat do the same thing.  There was a rule in our class that students couldn’t use the computers if the were not behaving.  So if I could not use the computer I would try to get other students in trouble to prevent their use of the computer.
